Career goals
Long-term, I want to be a design manager and leader. In order to get there, I believe I need to be a rockstar designer. So my short-term goals are to learn as much as I can, strengthen my design weaknesses, and seek out leadership opportunities at every stage of my career.
Skills I feel strong in
Executing designs quickly, creating consistency in UI, communicating and defending design decisions, and marrying business goals with user needs.
Skills I'm currently working on
Precision in high-fidelity design, and executing on visual design with vague guidelines.
What I bring to a team

Creative icebreaker questions and corny jokes!
On a more serious note: I am extremely collaborative and love running workshops and exchanging feedback on designs.
Some thing(s) I love about being in UX Design
I love being able to take real user feedback and turn it into tangible, helpful updates to the product I'm working on. Also, I love that everyone I've met in this space is so willing to help each other advance and succeed.
A little more...
A few things on my bucket list
Travel to 6 of the 7 continents (I have no desire to see Antarctica)
Flip or renovate a house
Discover the best taco in Austin (open to recommendations!)
Things I "nerd out" over
Books and movies - I read an average of 40 books and watch over 100 movies per year. I love a good story regardless of the format.
(I suppose the nerdiness also transcends into tracking these metrics...)
Favorite restaurants in Austin
Aba and Intero for a nice night out
Loro, Via 313, Super Thai, and Veracruz al Fonda for a more casual vibe and good drinks
Figure 8 for coffee
A hill I will die on
I grew up in New Jersey, so I'm pretty snobby about pizza and bagels. Despite being gluten free now, I believe most bagels and pizza made outside of NY/NJ are sub-par.
What I wanted to be when I grew up
An actor... until I realized I don't like to act and I can't sing or dance
A movie I think everyone should watch at least once
